เฝ้าระวังช้างพังแม่บุญแก้วและตัดหญ้า

 วันที่ 1-2 กุมภาพันธ์ 2569  เจ้าหน้าที่ภาคสนามมูลนิธิฯ ได้รับแจ้งจากชาวบ้านโคกกรวด ว่าช้างได้อกนอกพื้นที่ ทราบว่าเป็นช้างพังแม่บุญแก้วยังไม่ยอมกลับเข้าป่า เนื่องจากกลัวพลายฉลาดทำร้าย เจ้าหน้าที่ภาคสนามมูลนิธิฯ หน่วยต้นน้ำจึงร่วมกับเจ้าหน้าที่พิทักษ์ป่าเขตรักษาพันธุ์สัตว์ป่าซับลังกา จึงช่วยกันเฝ้าระวัง ในเวลากลางคืน ส่วนช่วงกลางวัน เจ้าหน้าที่ภาคสนามได้ตัดหญ้าดูแลรั้วไฟฟ้าช่วงตู้ 1-2 ซึ่งยังไม่แล้วเสร็จ

On February 1-2, 2026,our field staff from were informed by villagers in Khok Kruat that an elephant had left the area. It was identified as a female elephant, Mae Boon Kaew, who refused to return to the forest because she feared being attacked by a male elephant, Plai Chalard. Field staff from the upstream unit, along with forest rangers from the Sublangka Wildlife Sanctuary, then monitored the elephant at night. During the day, field staff trimmed grass and maintained the electric fence between kennels 1 and 2, which was not yet completed.
