ติดตามช้าง

วันที่ 4 มีนาคม 2568 เจ้าหน้าที่ภาคสนามมูลนิธิฯ ประจำจังหวัดลพบุรี ได้รับแจ้งจากหัวหน้าอุทยานแห่งชาติไทรทอง ว่าพบช้างไปทางบ้านหินรู อ.ระเหว จ.ชัยภูมิ ซึ่งเป็นแนวป่ารอยต่อขึ้นไปทางด้านเหนือของเขตรักษาพันธุ์สัตว์ป่าซับลังกา เจ้าหน้าที่จึงเข้าตรวจสอบพื้นที่และแกะรอยติดตามช้าง พบว่าเป็นช้างพลายฉลาดได้เดินไปตามไร่ชาวบ้านแล้วย้อนกลับมา โดยได้เหยียบมันสัมประหลังของชาวบ้านเสียหายเล็กน้อย

On March 4, 2025, our Lopburi field staff were notified by the chief of Sai Thong National Park that an elephant had been found heading towards Ban Hin Ru, Raheu District, Chaiyaphum Province, which is a forest area bordering the northern part of the Sap Langka Wildlife Sanctuary. Officers therefore went to inspect the area and track the elephant, and found that it was a male elephant that had walked through a villager's field and then returned, where it had trampled on a villager's cassava, causing minor damage.
