As Pang Pompam and Pang Duern has bred with Plai Bird, our field staff at Nong Nooch Tropical Garden bring 2 elephants to chain in scrub forest in the area of Nong Nooch Tropical Garden, in order to let them find their natural food and not to familiar with people. เนื่องจากพังป๋อมแป๋ม และพังเดือน ได้ผสมพันธุ์กับพลายเบิรด์แล้ว เจ้าหน้าที่ภาคสนามมูลนิธิฯ ประจำสวนนงนุช จึงนำช้างทั้งสองผูกเลี้ยงด้านนอกโรงช้าง ที่เป็นป่าในบริเวณพื้นที่สวนนงนุช ทั้งนี้เพื่อให้ช้างหาอาหารกินได้เองตามธรรมชาติและไม่คุ้นเคยกับคนมากเกินไป
