Hog Plum seedlings start to sprout at the Sublangka nursery. They will be raised and planted for the hog deer and other wildlife species that love to eat the Hog Plum fruit. เมล็ดมะกอกป่าที่เจ้าหน้าที่ภาคสนาม ประจำจังหวัดลพบุรีได้นำมาเพาะไว้ ขณะนี้เริ่มงอกแล้ว ซึ่งเมล็ดมะกอกป่าเหล่านี้จะนำไปปลูกสำหรับเนื้อทรายและสัตว์ป่าอื่นที่ชอบกินผลมะกอกป่า

Our field staff are refurbishing the Lampang Camp 2. We are reactivating Camp 2 at Mae Yao reservoir because water and forage is plentiful around this area during the dry season. Elephant DNA from Dung Ph'd Theses

Chalita Kongrit "Mink" and Chomcheun Siripunkaw "Pueng" , doctorial candidates at Dept of Biology, Faculty of Science, Mahidol University come into the Foundation offices to explain their two year study of elephant DNA extracted from elephant dung at Salah Pra Wildlife Sanctuary for their doctorial theses.

Lopburi Camp 2 Foam Insulation

Our field staff at Camp 2 Sublangka install foam insulation to reduce heat tranfer at their camp. The foam boards are cheap and readily available. The installation employs bamboo strips to lock the foam boards in place. This is called "sufficiency economy heat insulation". The reward for the field staff at Camp 2 will be a new 20 inch TV to be powered by the solar panel installation, which was erected last week.

เจ้าหน้าที่ภาคสนามแคมป์ 2 ที่ซับลังกา กำลังช่วยกันนำแผ่นโฟมมาทำเป็นฉนวนเพื่อลดความร้อนภายในแคมป์ ซึ่งถือได้ว่า เป็นการทำฉนวนลดความร้อนตามหลักเศรษฐกิจพอเพียง เพราะโฟมราคาถูกและหาง่าย สำหรับการติดตั้งก็สามารถกระทำได้ง่าย เพียงแต่ใช้ไม้ไผ่ประกบกับแผ่นโฟมแล้วยึดกับหลังคาที่พัก มูลนิธิฯ จึงมีรางวัลเป็นทีวีสีขนาด 20 นิ้วให้กับเจ้าหน้าที่ภาคสนาม

Soy Milk Test

Plai Suthin drinking soy milk from Mr. Phat Khervor, our field staff at Lampang. We tested to see if the baby elephant would like the soy milk but he did not want to drink it unless sugar was added. Pang Kwan is the lastest elephant that arrived at our camp in Lampang. She is being rehabiretate in Mae Yao National Reserve Forest. พังขวัญ ช้างที่มูลนิธิฯ รับเข้าโครงการตัวล่าสุดและกำลังปรับพฤติกรรมอยู่ในบริเวณพื้นที่ป่าสงวนแห่งชาติแม่ยาว จังหวัดลำปาง
