เช้าวันเสาร์ที่ 14 พ.ย. 2563 ลูกช้าง"พังทับเสลา" ได้เดินทางโดยรถยนต์พร้อมผู้ดูแลจากสถานีเพาะเลี้ยงสัตว์ป่าห้วยขาแข้ง ถึงยังเขตรักษาพันธุ์สัตว์ป่าดอยผาเมือง เมื่อเวลา 04.30 น. โดยที่พักของลูกช้างอยู่ที่หน่วยพิทักษ์ป่าหัวทุ่ง ในการนี้นายวีระชัย มงคลพันธ์ ผอ.ส่วนอนุรักษ์ป่า ว่าที่ ร.ต.ฐนพงษ์ ปุรินทราภิบาล หัวหน้าเขตรักษาพันธุ์สัตว์ป่าดอยผาเมือง พร้อมด้วยพล.ต.ต.ชูเกียรติ ประทีปะเสน รองเลขาธิการมูลนิธิคืนช้างสู่ธรรมชาติ และ น.สพ.เพชรธิศักดิ์ สมบัติภูธร และสพ.ญ.วรางคณา ลังการ์พินธุ์ สัตวแพทย์ประจำโรงพยาบาลช้างสถาบันคชบาลแห่งชาติ ร่วมกันตรวจสุขภาพลูกช้าง
โดยในวันแรกลูกช้างมาถึงจะยังไม่ได้พบกับแม่รับ เพราะต้องการให้ลูกช้างคุ้นเคยกับสถานที่ก่อน และพรุ่งนี้จะนำช้างที่ทางมูลนิธิคืนช้างสู่ธรรมชาติจัดเตรียมไว้เข้าเทียบกับลูกช้าง เพื่อประเมินสถานการณ์ถึงความ เป็นไปได้ในการยอมรับซึ่งกันและกันอีกครั้ง
On Saturday morning, November 14, 2020, the baby elephant "Pang Thap Salao" traveled by car with a caretaker from Huai Kha Khaeng Wildlife Plantation Station. Lankapint,DVM, Veterinarian at Elephant Hospital, National Elephant Institute to check the baby elephant's health.
In the first day, the baby elephant arrives and hasn't met the adoptive mother yet. Because we want the baby elephant to be familiar with the place first. Tomorrow will bring the adoptive elephants to meet the babies to assess the situation that it is possible to accept each other or not.
