วันที่ 13 พ.ค. 2552 คุณเปรมจิตร เหมวัฒน์ ผู้จัดการมูลนิธิคืนช้างสู่ธรรมชาติและ สพ.ญ.นัฏฐา มณีวรรณ (หมอขวัญ)สัตวแพทย์ประจำมูลนิธิฯ เดินทางไปหาช้างเพื่อเข้าร่วมโครงการคืนช้างสู่ธรรมชาติของมูลนิธิฯ ที่ พัทยา โดยหมอขวัญได้เจาะเลือดช้างเพื่อนำมาตรวจผลประกอบการพิจารณาในการเลือกซื้อต่อไป
