A weir was made  near Camp 1  to store water in Lamsonthi Creek, Sublangka Forest, Lopburi Province.

After arriving at 3 AM this morning by two ten wheel trucks, Pang Dara, Plai Udom and Sridor Adul get acclimatized to the environment of Doi Pah Muang forest, Lampang.
หลังจากพังดารา พลายอุดมและสีดออดุลย์เดินทางมาถึง ช้างทั้งสามได้ทำความคุ้นเคยกับป่าดอยผาเมือง จังหวัดลำปาง

The three young elephants spent 2-3 years growing up in this concrete environment. A beautiful young female died previously in this environment otherwise she would have also been donated too.

Around  03.00 AM on May 28, 2012. Plai Udom, Seedor Adul and Pang Dara arrive in Camp1, Doi Phamaung Wildlife Sanctuary, Lampamg.

Total Elephants Now Number 84!

With these 3 elephants the total number of elephants entering the reintroduction program totals 84 .

Khun Udom Donates 3 Elephants

Khun Adul, on behalf of his brother Khun Udom, hands over the certificates of three elephants: one male with tusks, one male without tusks and one naughty female, all aged between 5 to 7 years old. The ceremony took place at Saeng Pratham Foundation in Pathum Thani. Originally, Khun Udom wanted to donate 4 elephants but one female had died previously.  

คุณอดุลย์ ตัวแทนคุณอุดมมอบบริจาคช้างจำนวน 3 เชือก พร้อมตั๋วรูปพรรณ ให้กับมูลนิธิคืนช้างสู่ธรรมชาติ ซึ่งเป็นช้างเพศผู้จำนวน 2 เชือก โดยเชือกหนึ่งมีงาส่วนอีกเชือกไม่มีงา  และอีกเชือกเป็นเพศเมีย ที่กำลังซน ช้างมีอายุระหว่าง 5-7 ปี ณ มูลนิธิแสงพระธรรม จังหวัดปทุมธานี

The Tamarind Trees Sprout from Elephant Dung

Our Lampang field staff found a lot of tamarind seedlings are sprouting from the elephant dung after the first rains of the season in Doiphamaung Wildlife Sanctuary. 

จากการติดตามช้างเข้าป่าของเจ้าหน้าที่ภาคสนาม ลำปาง ในช่วงนี้มีฝนตกชุกในพื้นที่ป่า ทำให้มีต้นกล้ามะขามขึ้นมาจากมูลของช้างที่ปล่อยคืนสู่ธรรมชาติไปแล้ว

           หลังจากที่ป่าไม้เริ่มกลับมามีความอุดมสมบูรณ์มากขึ้นทำให้ปีนี้เราได้เห็นหิ่งห้อยจำนวนมากในป่าซับลังกา 

                        หิ่งห้อย หรือ ทิ้งถ่วง Firefly, Lightning bug, Lampyrid, Glow worm   

 :  เป็นแมลงปีกแข็งในวงศ์ Lampyridae ในอันดับ Coleoptera ทั่วทั้งโลกมีหิ่งห้อยประมาณ 2,000 ชนิด   คำว่า “หิ่งห้อย” นี้ พจนานุกรมฉบับราชบัณฑิตยสถาน อธิบายไว้สั้นๆ ว่า แมลงชนิดหนึ่ง มีแสงเรืองๆ ที่ก้น

Pang Nidnoi  is under doctor's to swim every morning as therapy for her hind legs which bear the marks of forced training injuries by the previous owner who wanted her to be a performance elephant.

The Creeks of Doi Pah Muang

In the Summer, many creeks in Doi Pha Muang forest is getting low, our elephants (Pang Sunee, Pang Valentine, Pang Dokrak, Pang Kanya, and Pang Doungdao ) come to have a little water in the creek. 

ช่วงนี้สภาพป่่าแห้งแล้งเนื่องจากฝนไม่ตก แต่ก็ยังมีน้ำอยู่ตามลำห้วยพอที่จะให้พังสุนีย์ พังดอกรัก พังวาเลนไทน์ พังกันยา และพังดวงดาว ได้ใช้กินและเล่นได้
