เฝ้าระวังช้างออกบ้านโคกกรวด

วันที่ 21 เมษายน  2567 เจ้าหน้าที่มูลนิธิคินช้างสู่ธรรมชาติ ได้ร่วมกับเจ้าหน้าที่พิทักษ์ป่าต้นน้าลำสนธิและชาวบ้านได้ติดตั้งไฟโซล่าเซลป้องกันช้างป่า  ช่วงบ่าย มีชาวบ้านโคกกรวดโทรศัพท์มาแจ้งว่ามีช้างลงที่สวนชาวบ้าน เจ้าหน้าที่จึงออกไปสำรวจ เจอช้างกลุ่มวาสนา ในเวลาประมาณ 17:00 น มาที่สวนของชาวบ้าน เจ้าหน้าที่ได้ผลักดันเข้าในรั้วซึ่งช้างไม่ยอมกลับเข้ารั้ว จึงประสานไปยังเจ้าหน้าที่ป่าไม้พิทักษ์ป่าเขาลวก มาร่วมช่วยผลักดัน และเจ้าหน้าที่ได้แบ่งเป็น 2 ชุดเพื่อนอนค้างแรมเฝ้าระวังช้าง

On April 21, 2024, our field staff together with the Lam Sonthi upstream forest ranger and villagers, they installed solar cell lights to protect wild elephants. In the afternoon, a Khok Kruat villager called to inform that there was an elephant in the villager's garden. The staff then went out to investigate. Found elephants from Pang Wadsana group at around 5:00 p.m. coming to a villager's garden. Then the staff pushed them into the fence which the elephant refused to return to the fence. Therefore coordinated with the forest ranger at Khao Luak forest Unit to join in pushing. And the staffs divided into 2 sets to stay overnight and watch out for the elephants.
