ช้างออกบ้านไทรงาม

วันที่ 28 เมษายน  2567 เจ้าหน้าที่มูลนิธิคืนช้างสู่ธรรมชาติ ภาคสนามลพบุรี .ร่วมกับเจ้าหน้าที่พิทักษ์ป่า(เขารวก) และเครือข่ายเฝ้าระวังช้างป่า (บ้านไทรงาม) ร่วมเฝ้าระวังช้างในช่วงเวลา18.00 น. เนื่องจากช้างเดินออกจากป่ามาจำนวนหลายตัวไม่ทราบกลุ่ม จึงจุดลูกบอลประทัด 3 - 4 ครั้ง ช้างจึงถอยกลับเข้าป่า และในเวลาต่อมาเวลา ประมาณตี 3 อบต.บ้านไทรงามได้โทรแจ้งว่ามีช้างเข้าหากินใกล้หมู่บ้านจึงไปตรวจสอบพบช้างกำลังกินกล้วยและขนุน ต้นมะพร้าวอ่อน ถอนมัน และทำท่อแตกหลายจุด เจ้าหน้าที่ภาคสนามจึงสำรวจความเสียหายพร้อม อบต. ผู้ใหญ่บ้าน ผู้ช่วยผู้ใหญ่บ้าน และเจ้าของไร่ ชาวบ้านอยากให้ซ่อมท่อที่แตก และต้นมะพร้าวน้ำหอมที่เสียหาย

On April 28, 2024, our Lopburi field staff together with the forest rangers (Khao Ruak) and the wild elephant monitoring network (Ban Sai Ngam), join in watching out for elephants at 6:00 p.m. as many elephants have walked out of the forest in unknown groups. So the firecracker ball was lit 3-4 times then the elephant went back into the forest. And later at around 3 a.m., the Ban Sai Ngam Subdistrict Administrative Organization called to report that there was an elephant coming to eat near the village, so they went to investigate and found the elephant eating bananas and jackfruit coconut tree  and the pipe broke in several places. Field staff then surveyed the damage along with the Subdistrict Administrative Organization, village headman, and assistant village headman. and the farm owner. Villagers want broken pipes to be repaired and coconut trees.
