ช้างออกไร่ลุงวิน สวนมะขาม

วันที่ 23 เมษายน 2567 เจ้าหน้าที่มูลนิธิคืนช้างสู่ธรรมชาติภาคสนามลพบุรี แคมป์ต้นน้ำ ร่วมกับเจ้าหน้าที่พิทักษ์ป่า(เขารวก)ได้นอนเฝ้าระวังช้างป่า โดยเมื่อวานช่วงเย็น ช้างออกมาเวลาประมาณ18:00 น. ที่ประตูรั้วต้นมะขาม เจ้าหน้าที่ได้เฝ้าระวังโดยจุดลูกบอลประทัด แต่ช้างไม่ยอมกลับเข้าป่า เมื่อคืนช้างขึ้นไปไร่ลุงวินและไร่ใกล้เคียงช้างจะเข้ามาหาน้ำตามกระท่อมของชาวบ้าน ได้ทำถังน้ำแตกหลายเจ้า เทข้าวสาร เจ้าหน้าที่ภาคสนามได้เข้าตรวจสอบจุดที่ช้างทำเสียหาย และซ่อมแซมรั้วเนื่องจากช้างทำรั้วไฟฟ้าเสียหายด้วย สาเหตุช้างออกมาข้างนอกรั้วเนื่องจากน้ำในป่าเขตนั้นแห้งไม่มีน้ำ ตอนนี้ช้างมุ่งน่ามาทางตามแนวรั้วบ้านตะเคียนโพรงและเพิ่งเข้าป่าเมื่อช่วงเช้าตอนนี้ ช้างยังอยู่ตามแนวรั้วไร่ลุงวินคาดว่าคืนนี้น่าจะออกมาอีก โดยช้างกลุ่มนี้มีทั้งหมด 7 ตัว 

On April 23, 2024, our Lopburi field staff, upstream camp, together with the forest rangers (Khao Ruak) were camp and watching over wild elephants. By yesterday evening The elephant came out at around 6:00 p.m. at the tamarind tree gate so the staff setting off firecracker balls. But the elephant refused to return to the forest. Last night, the elephants went up to Uncle Win's farm and nearby farms and the elephants came to the villagers' huts to come look for water. Several water tanks were broken and rice was poured out. Field staffs went to inspect the areas where the elephants had damaged. and repair the fence because elephants damaged the electric fence. The reason the elephant came outside the fence was because the water in the forest in that area was dry and there was no water. The elephant is now heading along the fence of Ban Takhian Prong and has just entered the forest this morning. The elephants are still along the fence at Uncle Win's farm. It is expected that they will come out again tonight. There are a total of 7 elephants in this group.
