On the Elephant Dung -Reforestation Project plot we found that a number of plants had started to grow from the dung collected and deposited there by the foundaton's field staff last year. The test plot had been completely cleared of any vegetation and plants at the beginning of the project. Top and bottom photos show plants that are not normally native to this area of the Sublangka forest. We are hoping to show how important the elephants are for the forest.ผลจากการทดลองโครงการช้างปลูกป่าที่ทางเจ้าหน้าที่ภาคสนามของมูลนิธิฯได้จัดทำขึ้นเมื่อปีที่แล้ว พบว่ามีพันธุ์ไม้นานาชนิดเกิดขึ้นจากมูลช้าง โดยการทดลองในแปลงเพาะปลูก ส่วนภาพด้านบนและด้านล่างแสดงให้เห็นว่าต้นไม้ที่เกิดจากมูลช้างนั้นมิใช่ต้นไม้ที่มีในเขตรักษาพันธ์สัตว์ป่าซับลังกา มูลนิธิฯหวังจะให้เห็นว่าช้างมีความสำคัญต่อป่าเพียงไร
