Our Hog Deer Reintroduction Project receives confirmation of its success today! Although we have known that most of the 20 Elds deer which we reintroduced last year in Sublangka Wildlife Sanctuary (Of the 23 Hog deer we obtained from Huay Sai Center, three had died from transportation stress or injuries) have survived, this is the first time that we have been able to visually confirm the sighting of a family of Hog deer. In the top photo, you can see the female deer, part of the baby deer and the male father deer. The sighting is at 2 PM and they are resting in the shadows of the trees.ทางมูลนิธิฯได้ทราบข่าวว่าผลจากโครงการปล่อยเนื้อทรายในเขตรักษาพันธ์สัตว์ป่าซับลังกาเมื่อปีที่แล้วที่ได้รับมาจากสถานีเพาะเลี้ยงสัตว์ป่าห้วยทราย 23 ตัวพบว่าประสบผลสำเร็จด้วยดี ถึงแม้ว่าขณะนี้จะมีเนื้อทรายเหลืออยู่เพียง 20 ตัว เนื่องจากมี 3 ตัวที่บาดเจ็บหรือตายเนื่องจากขั้นตอนการขนส่ง จากภาพจะพบว่ามีเนื้อทรายอยู่รวมกันเป็นครอบครัวมีตัวแม่ ลูก และพ่อกำลังพักผ่อนอยู่ใต้ต้นไม้โดยภาพนี้ทางมูลนิธิฯได้ถ่ายไว้ตอนบ่าย 2
