กลุ่ม โดเรมี ออกนอกรั้วไฟฟ้า

วันที่ 13 สิงหาคม 2567 ช่วงเมื่อวานเย็น เวลา 17.50 น. เจ้าหน้าที่มูลนิธิคืนช้างสู่ธรรมชาติ แคมป์หนองใหญ่ได้รับแจ้งจากชาวบ้าน บ.โนนสวรรค์ ม.7 ต.บ้านไร่ อ.เทพสถิต จ.ชัยภูมิ ว่าช้างป่าออกมานอกรั้ว ใกล้`ไร่มันสัมปะหลังของชาวบ้าน เจ้าหน้าที่ภาคสนามมูลนิธิฯ และเจ้าหน้าที่เขตรักษาพันธุ์สัตว์ป่าซับลังกา หน่วยหนองใหญ่จึงร่วมกันเข้าไปเฝ้าระวังจนกระทั่งเวลาประมาณ 19.20 น. ช้างได้ออกมาอีกด้านเพื่อกินอ้อยและถอนต้นมัน เจ้าหน้าที่จึงได้เข้าผลักดันให้กลับเข้าป่า แล้วนอนค้างเฝ้าระวัง ช่วงเช้าได้เข้าตรวจดูความเสียหายแล้วติดตามรอย ได้เจอช้างกลุ่มโดเรมีกับลูกและหลาน 4 ตัว จึงได้ผลักดันเข้าพื้นที่ป่าแล้ว

On August 13, 2024, evening at 5:50 p.m., our field staff of Nong Yai Camp, were notified by villagers of Ban Non Sawan, Village No. 7, Ban Rai Subdistrict, Thepsathit District, Chaiyaphum Province that a wild elephant had come out of the fence near a villager's cassava plantation. The foundation's field staffs and rangers of the Sap Langka Wildlife Sanctuary, Nong Yai Unit, therefore joined forces to monitor it until approximately 7:20 p.m., when the elephant came out to eat sugarcane and uproot the cassava plants. The team therefore pushed it back into the forest and stayed overnight to keep watch. In the morning, they inspected the damage and followed the tracks and found Pang Doremi elephant group with 4 children and grandchildren, so they pushed it back into the forest area.
