Mr. Manfred Rietzler and family release Seedor Boonchu ( a 9-year-old bull elephant) back to the wild in Doi Pha Maung Wildlife Sanctuary, Lampang. The Foundation held both the Brahman ceremony and the Catholic ceremony for the donor. For the Christian ceremony, Father WerasakYongsripanithan from Phaharutai (Sacred Heart of Jesus) Church in Chiangmai came to bless Seedor Boonchu before releasing him to the wild.

Prayer For the Elephant

Today O Lord we seek your blessings on Seedor Boonchu

Magnificent creature , Keeper of the forest,

Your partner in the creation trees and pastures,

Godfather of the animals of the wild

That he be unshackled and returned safely to the domicile

Where he belongs

So that he can continue to perform his work in peace

For the balance of nature and the happiness of all.

With your blessings

May he go free again

With health and understanding!
