Our field staff complete the new check dam near Pa's Pond. The sand bags are filled with soil and fertilizer. Then vetiver grass is planted on the top sand bag. Water from the pond feed the grass to grow quickly in the sunlight. The vetiver roots will grow downwards and the lengthy root network will stitch the bags together to creat a strong check dam.
