ออกเฝ้าระวังช้างที่ป่ายาง

วันที่ 7 มิถุนายน 2567 มูลนิธิคืนช้างสู่ธรรมชาติ ประจำจังหวัดลพบุรี ได้รับแจ้งจาก อ.บ.ต.บ้านซับใหญ่ หมู่ 13 ต.วังทอง อ.ภักดีชุมพล จ.ชัยภูมิ ให้ช่วยออกตรวจลาดตระเวนตามแนวป่าต้นยางพารา เนื่องจากชาวบ้านไม่กล้ากรีดยาง เนื่องจากช่วง 2-3 วัน ที่แล้วได้ยินเสียงช้างร้องและมาเหยียบถ้วยยาง ช่วงกลางคืน เจ้าหน้าที่ได้วิ่งตรวจและนอนฟังเสียงจนสว่างไม่มีเสียงช้าง คาดว่าช้างน่ามุ่งหน้าไปทางน้ำตก 3 สายเข้าในเขตป่าแล้ว

On June 7, 2024, our field staff at Lopburi Province notified by Ban Sap Yai Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Village No. 13, Wang Thong Subdistrict, Phakdi Chumphon District, Chaiyaphum Province, to help patrol along the rubber tree forest because villagers don't dare to tap rubber. Because last 2-3 days, the villagers heard elephants moaning and stepping on rubber cups. During the night, the staff ran around to inspect and lay down listening to the sounds until it was bright and there was no sound of elephants. The elephant is believed to have headed towards the three waterfalls and into the forest area.
