พลายสมนึกเป็นลำบอง

วันที่ 12 สิงหาคม 2566 น.สพ.ดร.ทวีโภค อังควานิช กรรมการมูลนิธิคืนช้างสู่ธรรมชาติ เข้าตรวจดูอาการของพลายสมนึกหลังพบว่าเป็นลำบองมาเเล้วหลายวัน หลังได้รับการรักษาสมนึกมีอาการที่ดีขึ้น โดยเจ้าหน้าที่ภาคสนามมูลนิธิฯ ได้ดูแลอย่างใกล้ชิดโดยมีการใช้ยาประคบร่วมด้วย

ยาต้มสมุนไพรใช้สำหรับฟาดประคบแผลช้างที่เป็นลำบองประกอบด้วยเปลือกต้นประดู่ เถาวัลย์ไมยราบ ต้นโด่ไม่รู้ล้ม พริก เกลือ เนื่องจากพลายสมนึกมีแผลด้วย จึงต้องได้รับการรักษาแบบแผนปัจจุบันร่วมด้วย โดยเจ้าหน้าที่ได้ล้างแผลให้อย่างสม่ำเสมอ

On August 12, 2023, Taweephok Angkavanich,DVM, Director of the Elephant Reintroduction Foundation went to examine Plai Somnuek's symptoms after finding out that he had been infected  of abscess for several days. After receiving treatment, Somnuek's symptoms improved. by Foundation field staff was closely monitored with the use of a compress as well

Herbal decoction used for compressing abscess wounds of elephants that are consisting of padauk bark, mimosa vine, Ton Do Mai Rua Loom, chili, salt. Because Plai Somnuek also had a wound therefore, The staff has cleaned the wounds regularly.
