ออกเที่ยวยามค่ำคืน

เจ้าหน้าที่ภาคสนามมูลนิธิ จ.ลพบุรี ประจำหน่วยตะเคียนโพรง ได้ออกตรวจและนอนเฝ้าระวังช้างที่บริเวณบ้านโคกกรวด ต.ยางสาว อ.วิเชียรบุรี จ.เพชรบูรณ์  ระหว่างสำรวจพบช้างออกมายังไร่ข้าวโพดจึงช่วยกันไล่ต้อนเป็นเวลานานพอสมควรช้างจึงกลับเข้าป่าไป ต่อมาประมาณ 4 ทุ่ม ได้รับแจ้งว่ามีช้างออกไปที่ไร่ กินกล้วยของชาวบ้านที่บ้านวังใหญ่ ต.วังทอง อ.ภักดีชุมพล จ.ชัยภูมิเสียหายเล็กน้อย และในคืนเดียวกัน เวลาประมาณ ตี 2 เจ้าหน้าที่เฝ้าประจำหน่วยตะเคียนโพรงแจ้งว่ามีช้าง 2 ตัว คาดว่าเป็นพลายฉลาดและ สีดอสุทินเข้ามาใกล้ที่หน่วย เจ้าหน้าที่จึงเดินทางกลับมาที่หน่วยเนื่องจากเกรงว่าพังแม่ลำปางที่ผูกเลี้ยงไว้ใกล้หน่วยอาจได้รับอันตรายจากช้างหนุ่มสองตัวนี้

Our Lopburi field staff at Takian Phrong Unit went to inspect and watch for elephants at Ban Khok Kruat, Yangsao Subdistrict, Wichian Buri District, Phetchabun Province. During the survey, elephants were found out to the corn field, so they chased around for a long time, then the elephants returned to the forest. Then around 10 pm was informed that an elephant was out to eat bananas of villagers at Ban Wangyai, Wang Thong Sub-district, Phakdi Chumphon District, Chaiyaphum. And on the same night at around 2 am, the staff of the Takhian Phong unit reported that there were 2 elephants expected to be Plai Chalard and Sidor Sutin approached the unit. The staff then returned to the unit because they were afraid that Pang Lampang that was tied near the unit could be harmed by these two bull elephants.
