ช้างออกมาอีกครั้ง

วันที่ 6 สิงหาคม 2568 เจ้าหน้าที่ภาคสนามมูลนิธิฯ ประจำจังหวัดลพบุรี ได้รับแจ้งจากป้าเมตตา ชาวบ้านบ้านวังเชื่อมว่ามีช้างออกมากินกล้วยและอ้อยอีก เจ้าหน้าที่ภาคสนาม เจ้าหน้าที่เขตรักษาพันธุ์สัตว์ป่าซับลังกา และผู้ใหญ่บ้านวังเชื่อมจึงเข้าสำรวจพื้นที่ความเสียหาย โดยจากการแกะรอยพบว่า ช้างมาเพียงตัวเดียวโดยช้างได้เหยียบต้นไม้ให้ล้มแล้วทับแนวสายลวดรั้วไฟฟ้าเพื่อออกมา เจ้าหน้าที่จึงได้เข้าเฝ้าระวังในเวลากลางคืนพร้อมกับเจ้าหน้าที่เขตรักษาพันธุ์สัตว์ป่าซับลังกาซึ่งช้างได้พยายามออกมาหลายครั้ง โดยเจ้าหน้าที่ได้จุดประทัดสกัด 

On August 6, 2015,our Lopburi field staff were notified by Aunt Metta, a villager from Ban Wang Chueam, that another elephant had come out to eat bananas and sugarcane. Field staff, rangers from  Sublangka Wildlife Sanctuary, and the village headman of Wang Chueam went to survey the damaged area. Upon tracking the elephant, they discovered that it had come alone. The elephant had trampled trees and then slashed the electric fence wires in its attempt to escape. The staffs then monitored the area at night, along with ranger from the Sublangka Wildlife Sanctuary, as the elephant attempted to escape several times. They lit firecrackers to intercept the elephant.
