สีดอสุทิน

เจ้าหน้าที่ภาคสนามประจำจังหวัดลพบุรี ได้รับแจ้งจากชาวบ้านว่ามีช้างออกที่บ้านซับใหญ่ ต.วังทอง อ.ภักดีชุมพล จ.ชัยภูมิ (ห่างจากแคมป์ต้นน้ำประมาณ 3 กม.) เจ้าหน้าที่จึงเข้าพื้นที่พบว่าเป็นร่องรอยช้างสีดอสุทินได้เหยียบต้นข้าวและกินต้นกล้วยเสียหายเล็กน้อย  โดยจากการตรวจสอบพบว่าการทำงานของรั้วไฟฟ้าที่ใช้พลังงานแสงอาทิตย์ไม่เต็มประสิทธิภาพ เนื่องจากท้องฟ้ามีฝนตกครึ้มตลอด 4-5 วัน และมีต้นไม้ล้มพาดสายไฟ เจ้าหน้าที่จึงทำการแก้ไขให้ดีดังเดิม

Our Lopburi field staffs informed by villagers that there were elephants leaving at Ban Sub Yai, Wang Thong Subdistrict, Phakdee Chumpon District, Chaiyaphum Province (about 3 km away from the Water Source camp), the staff then entered the area and found that it was a trace of an elephant  stepped of the rice and eat the banana tree, slightly damaged. Based on the investigation, it was found that the function of the electric fence using solar energy was not effective because the sky is raining for 4-5 days and the trees fell across the power lines. Staff therefore restore for good as before.
