On April 21, 2012, Doi Phamaung Forest has a storm, a big tree at the reservoir broke and then weigh down on Pang Tina's chain while she came down to drink water in the reservoir. Our elephant could not climb up the reservoir bank and was struck in the water but later rescued to safety by our staffs.
วันที่ 21 เมษายน 2555 เกิดพายุแรงในพื้นที่เขตรักษาพันธุ์สัตว์ป่าดอยผาเมือง จังหวัดลำปาง ทำให้ต้นไม้ใหญ่ที่อยู่บริเวณอ่างเก็บน้ำแม่ปูหักโค่นล้มทับโซ่ ขณะที่พังทีน่าลงไปกินน้ำในอ่างเก็บน้ำแม่ปู ทำให้พังทีน่าไม่สามารถขึ้นจากฝั่งได้
