มูลนิธิฯ ร่วมกับเจ้าหน้าที่เขตรักษาพันธุ์สัตว์ป่าดอยผาเมือง จังหวัดลำปาง และลำพูน ได้ร่วมกันประชุมทำความเข้าใจกับชาวบ้านหมู่บ้านแม่สะป้วด หมู่ 2 ต.ทาสบเส้า อ.แม่ทา จังหวัดลำพูน เกี่ยวกับการจัดการพื้นที่ป่าและช้าง เพื่อให้มีแนวความคิดไปในทางเดียวกัน
