The Elephant Reintroduction foundation is digging a new pond for wild animals in Sublangka forest which it has circle shape and it's size about 46 meters diameter and 7 meters deep.
รถแม็คโครกำลังดำเนินการขุดสระน้ำใหม่ เพื่อเป็นแหล่งน้ำให้สัตว์ป่าในพื้นที่ป่าซับลังกา โดยสระน้ำแห่งนี้มีความกว้าง 46 เมตร ความลึก 7 เมตร ลักษณะของสระเป็นรูปวงกลม
Wildlife Conservation Division, National Park Wildlife and Plant Conservation Department will move a wild elephant "Plai Sampran" from Kao-Ang-Rua-Nai Wildlife Sanctuary in Chachoengsao to Doi Pha-Muang Wildlife Sanctuary in Lampang for treatment him here by nature. Plai Sampran got injure on his front foot (right) from a snare of hunter. He needs to look after very closely by veterinarian from The elephant hospital. Thus, the foundation has prepared a place include electric fence for him to treatment. The place has area about 6-8 rai which close up Maeyao reservoir and plenty of food. We hope he will get well soon here. (An above drawing shows the location that the foundation prepares for "Plai Sampran")
เนื่องจากสำนักอนุรักษ์สัตว์ป่า กรมอุทยานแห่งชาติสัตว์ป่าและพันธ์พืช จะทำการย้ายช้างป่าพลายสามพรานจากเขตรักษาพันธุ์สัตว์ป่าเขาอ่างฤาใน จังหวัดฉะเชิงเทรา ไปยังเขตรักษาพันธุ์สัตว์ป่าดอยผาเมือง จังหวัดลำปาง เพื่อรักษาบำบัดช้างป่าพลายสามพรานที่ได้รับบาดเจ็บจากการถูกบ่วงดักสัตว์ป่าของนายพราน จนทำให้ข้อเท้าได้รับบาดเจ็บสาหัส ซึ่งขณะนี้เนื่องจากสภาพแวดล้อมที่รักษาอยู่ปัจจุบันเป็นแหล่งเกษตรเคมี จึงจำเป็นต้องนำมารักษาโดยวิธีธรรมชาติและจำเป็นต้องมีสัตวแพทย์ที่โรงพยาบาลช้างให้การรักษาอย่าใกล้ชิด ดังนั้น ทางมูลนิธิจึงได้ทำการออกแบบพื้นที่ล้อมรั้วไฟฟ้า สำหรับช้างป่าพลายสามพรานได้อาศัยอยู่ในพื้นที่ที่เหมาะสม โดยพื้นที่ที่ว่าจะอยู่ใกล้กับแคมป์ 2 ของมูลนิธิฯ ซึ่งรอบๆ บริเวณ จะติดกับอ่างเก็บน้ำแม่ยาว ซึ่งเป็นพื้นที่ที่มีแหล่งน้ำและแหล่งอาหารอุดมสมบูรณ์ เหมาะแก่การบำบัดรักษาช้างป่าพลายสามพราน
