A very large tree had broken and blocked the road at kilometer 7. 5 in Sublangka Wildlife Sanctuary, Lopburi. The tree had been weakened by human burning of the trunk for sap.

The photo show some elephants under rehabilitation around Km.5-6 in Sublangka Wildlife Sanctuary, Lopburi. Our new elephants : Plai Sutjai (Picture 3) and Pang Deejai (Picture 2) arrive to our camp 2 in Lampang at 06.00 am. Both of them come from Phechaboon Province.

วันนี้มูลนิธิฯ รับช้างตัวใหม่เข้าโครงการ ซึ่งเป็นช้างที่มาจากอำเภอหล่มเก่า จังหวัดเพชรบูรณ์ ชื่อพลายสุดใจ (ภาพล่างสุด) และพังดีใจ (ภาพกลาง) โดยเดินทางมาถึงมูลนิธิฯ (แคมป์ 2) จังหวัดลำปาง เวลาประมาณ 06.00 น.

Our field staff found Pang Malai and Pang Boonmee during they are tracking elephants in Doi Pha Muang Wildlife Sanctuary area,Lampang and all photoes above shown the forest which is still Luxuriant.

ในการติดตามช้างในป่า เจ้าหน้าที่ภาคสนาม (ลำปาง) ได้ถ่ายภาพสภาพแวดล้อมภายในป่าลึก เขตรักษาพันธุ์สัตว์ป่าดอยผาเมือง จ.ลำปาง ว่ามีความอุดมสมบูรณ์ถึงแม้ว่าจะเป็นช่วงฤดูแล้งก็ตาม และเจ้าหน้าที่ของเราก็ได้พบกับ พังมาลัย และพังบุญมี ซึ่งซ่อนตัวอยู่ในพุ่มไม้บริเวณนั้นด้วย

Plai Maitree is breaking a branch to Plai Suthas and Plai Suthin for eating whlie Pang Sunee watch พลายไมตรีกำลังหักกิ่งไม้อ่อน ให้พลายสุทัศน์ และพลายสุทินแทะกิน โดยมีพังสุนีย์คอยดูแลอยู่ใกล้ๆ

All area around camp 1 (Lampang) is getting dry in this month (April). So,our field staff pump water from pond 2 for watering trees nearby camp 1 เนื่องจากในเดือนเมษายน พื้นที่บริเวณแคมป์ 1 ของจังหวัดลำปาง มีความแห้งแล้ง เจ้าหน้าที่จึงช่วยกันสูบน้ำจากบริเวณสระ 2 มาใช้ และนำมารดน้ำต้นไม้บริเวณแคมป์ 1

Pang Sunee, Plai Mitri, Plai Suthus, Plai Suthin and Pang Kwan enjoy eating nearby Mae Yao reservoir in Lampang พังสุนีย์ พลายไมตรี พลายสุทัศน์ พลายสุทิน พังขวัญ กินอาหารอย่างมีความสุข บริเวณรอบๆ อ่างเก็บน้ำแม่ยาว จังหวัดลำปาง

As around Mae Yao Reservoir is getting dry. So, our field staff (Lampang) moved elephants into thick forest where still plenty of food. เนื่องจากในขณะนี้สภาพป่ารอบอ่างแม่ยาวจังหวัดลำปางแห้งแล้ง เจ้าหน้าที่ภาคสนาม (ลำปาง) จึงพาช้างของมูลนิธิฯ ย้ายเข้าไปในป่าลึก ซื่งยังคงมีความอุดมสมบูรณ์อยู่

Plai Mitri has never far away from Pang Sunee after they met each other. หลังจากที่พังสุนีย์ และพลายไมตรี ได้พบกัน พลายไมตรีก็ไม่ยอมห่างจากพังสุนีย์เลย

Our field staff in Lopburi take a photo of hog deer with beautiful horn around Km.8-9 in Sublangka Wildlife Sanctuary. เจ้าหน้าที่ภาคสนาม(ลพบุรี) ถ่ายภาพเนื้อทรายเพศผู้(เขาสวยงาม) ได้บริเวณกิโลเมตรที่ 8-9 เขตรักษาพันธุ์สัตว์ป่าซับลังกา

Plai Sukhum enjoys play acting and pretends to be a crocodile at Mae Yao Reservior, Lampang. Everyone is "scared". พลายสุขุมสนุกที่จะแกล้งแสดงเป็นจระเข้ทำให้ทุกคนกลัวที่อ่างเก็บน้ำแม่ยาว จังหวัดลำปาง.

Khun Veera Agkaraputthiporn, Khun Bussayada Youngfuangmol agent from Thai Namthip Co.,Ltd. and Khun Phenpak Rattanakhamfu (Black dress), Mayor of Khokga district, Lampang visit an elephant (Pang Sunee) at camp 2 ,Mae Yao Reservoir in Lampang. The elephant was released by Thai Namthip on February 8,2007.

เมื่อวันที่ 11 เมษายน 2550 ที่ผ่านมา คุณวีระ อัครพุทธิพร ผู้ช่วยกรรมการผู้จัดการ Corporate Affairs และคุณบุษยดา ยังเฟื่องมนต์ ผู้จัดการฝ่ายกิจกรรมสัมพันธ์ จากบริษัทไทยน้ำทิพย์ จำกัด พร้อมด้วยคุณเพ็ญภัค รัตนคำฟู (ชุดสีดำ) นายกเทศมนตรีตำบลเกาะคา จังหวัดลำปาง ได้เดินทางมาเยี่ยมพังสุนีย์ ที่บริเวณแคมป์ 2 อ่างเก็บน้ำแม่ยาว จังหวัดลำปาง ซึ่งทางบริษัทไทยน้ำทิพย์ได้ทำพิธีบริจาคเมื่อวันที่ 8 กุมภาพันธ์ 2550 ที่ผ่านมา

The Foundation is very sadden to learn of Pang Malee's sudden death. She died on April 7, 2007 nearby Mae Yao Reservior (Camp 2) , Lampang. ทางมูลนิธิฯ ได้เสียใจกับจากไปของพังมาลี ณ บริเวณ อ่างเก็บน้ำแม่ยาว จังหวัดลำปาง (แคมป์ 2)โดยพังมาลีได้เสียชีวิตในคืนวันเสาร์ที่ 7 เมษายน 2550 ที่ผ่านมา

Pang Sarah comes to pay respect to the dead body of Pang Malee at camp 2 (Mae Yao Reservoir), Lampang. Elephants, like humans, treat a dead elephant with respect. Pang Nimnuan also came and gently touched the body with her trunk to say farewell. พังซาร่า กำลังโศกเศร้าที่พังมาลีจากไป จึงเดินทางมาเคารพศพที่บริเวณแคมป์ 2 อ่างแม่ยาว จ.ลำปาง

3 Veterinarians from The Elephant Hospital : Mr. Taweepoke Angkawanit, consultant of the Foundation (green vet smock), Mr. Kajohnphat Boonprasert and Mr. Sarun Chansittivej and our field staff are undertaking the necropsy of Pang Malee on Sunday morning (April 8, 2007). Although it is a great loss for the Foundation, we take this opportunity to have the elephant veterinarians and students learn about the elephant's anatomy and increase their knowledge and experience. นายสัตวแพทย์ทวีโภค อังควานิช (เสื้อสีเขียวด้านซ้าย) นายสัตวแพทย์ที่ปรึกษาของมูลนิธิ นำทีมสัตวแพทย์จากโรงพยาบาลช้าง ประกอบด้วย นายสัตวแพทย์ขจรพัฒน์ บุญประเสริฐ และนายสัตวแพทย์ศรัณย์ จันทร์สิทธิเวช รวมถึงเจ้าหน้าที่ภาคสนามของมูลนิธิฯ ทำการชันสูตรซากของพังมาลี ในเช้าของวันอาทิตย์ที่ 8 เมษายน 2550

Miss Krattiya Khumphet and Miss Naritsara Boontun, 2 training students from Chiangmai University are performing a procedure on Pang Malee's body, and Veterinarian Taweepoke Angkawanit, Consultant of the Foundation is writing notes on the necropsy while our field staff, Mr. Nirut Majai is taking some photos. They will remove the elephant's eyes for preservation and further study. จากภาพ นักศึกษาฝึกงานจากมหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่ นางสาว ขัตติยะ กุมเพชร และนางสาวนริศรา บุญตัน กำลังทำการผ่าชันสูตรร่างของพังมาลี โดยมีนายสัตวแพทย์ทวีโภค อังควานิช นายสัตวแพทย์ที่ปรึกษามูลนิธิฯ กำลังบันทึกรายละเอียดในการผ่าซาก และเจ้าหน้าที่ของมูลนิธิฯ นายนิรุต มาใจ กำลังบันทึกภาพ เพื่อเป็นหลักฐานในการเสียชีวิตในครั้งนี้

Our Field staff in Lampang is setting up "Solar Cell Sangkatran" set for using at camp 2. เจ้าหน้าที่ภาคสนามลำปาง กำลังทดลองติดตั้งชุดโซล่าเซลล์สังฆทาน บริเวณแคมป์ 2 เพื่อให้เจ้าหน้าที่ไว้งาน

Our field staff in Lopburi take a photo some hog deers are drinking water from water source that the foundation has prepared for our elephants and another wildlife animal in dry season. เจ้าหน้าที่ภาคสนาม(ลพบุรี) ถ่ายภาพเนื้อทรายกำลังกินน้ำที่แหล่งน้ำที่ทางมูลนิธิฯจัดเตรียมไว้ให้ช้างและสัตว์อื่น ๆ ในฤดูแล้ง

The Foundation has prepared water source for our elephants and another wildlife animal to use in dry season. สระน้ำที่ทางมูลนิธิฯจัดทำไว้เพื่อให้ช้างในโครงการคืนช้างสู่ธรรมชาติและสัตว์ป่าอื่นๆ ได้ใช้ประโยชน์ในฤดูแล้ง

The new check dam which the foundation planted the vetiver grass on the top sand bag on March 19,2007. Now,the vetiver root is growing downwards and the lengthy root network is stitch the sand bags together. ฝายกั้นน้ำที่ทางมูลนิธิฯ ได้ปลูกหญ้าแฝกเพื่อยึดกระสอบทรายให้ติดกัน ขณะนี้หญ้าแฝกกำลังแตกหน่อเพื่อจะขยายตัวทำให้รากสามารถยึดกระสอบทรายให้ติดกันได้
